Very interesting obit here folks.

Red Crow was a complex man was a diverse set of interests. One thing to note here is the term ‘walk on’ is a first on the NOR and we’re certifying as a pretty badass way to refer to one’s passing. Congrats to indiancountrynews.net for their first appearance here at the NOR. I’m sure they’ve written plenty of obits that are 10 out of 10 lytles and we need to do a better job of paying attention. Floyd “Red Crow” Westerman (August 17, 1936 – December 13, 2007)

Floyd Red Crow Westerman, 71, of Palm Springs, California walked on during the earlier morning hours of December 13, 2007.

A memorial service was held in Westerman’s home on Dec. 14 in Marina del Rey, California. Wake services were held at the Tiospa Zina Tribal School in Sisseton, South Dakota according to his brother, Christ (Chris) Westerman. Funeral services were held at St. Matthew’s Catholic Cemetery on December 17th in Veblen, South Dakota.

Westerman had been battling health issues complicated by leukemia for weeks in critical condition at Cedars-Sinai hospital in Los Angeles, California. Continue
