Its everyone’s favorite Jewish Uncle! Man, just the other day I was watching a rerun of Seinfeld and I was incredibly disappointed with how little of the humor translated 15 years later. In fact Uncle Leo was the saving grace of the episode. This is just my opinion but one of the only shows from that era whose entertainment value never wanes is Tales From The Crypt….I love that lil guy!
However, onward.
After taking a deeper dive into Lesser’s career his credits read like my afternoon TV watching schedule when I used to stay home from school in 1994. Ahem:

Film and TV actor best known as Seinfeld’s bothersome Uncle Leo
The American actor Len Lesser, who has died aged 88 from pneumonia, after suffering from cancer for two years, won many fans in his role as Uncle Leo in the offbeat sitcom Seinfeld. He was notable for the boisterous “Jerry! Hello!” greeting he gave his screen nephew. The elderly uncle had an obsession with greetings and insisted that Jerry must always say “Hello!”, no matter how embarrassing the situation. That applied even when Jerry caught Leo shoplifting at a bookshop. “You still say hello,” he chastised. Continue
