Wow, I knew Ertegun and his history with Atlantic records but this guy’s bio is dense. With all of his business savvy, career with the U.N. League of Nations and numerous ambassadorial posts he still had his priorities straight when he said this to a crowd at Berklee College of Music when he received his honorary degree:

“What I really loved was music, jazz, blues, and hanging out.”
Couldn’t have set it better myself. I think Ahmet himself would have chosen an Otis Redding tune to accompany his DPD write-up no?
