Wednesday Poem of the Week: The Cow and the Ant by T.W. Snicket

0 Comments 01 August 2012

If you’re already familiar with the story please be still.
Any sudden movement and the mystery may well disintegrate.

The Cow and the Ant

Mother Cow after losing her calf
Walked around and around etching out her space with vicious attacks
No living animal dare come close to her territory
No Cattleman came near
No Fly dare land to her pattys
But Little did she know that all along, a simple ant –
Misplaced from last years flood –
Lived peacefully,
Directly in the middle of her territory.
